Engagement Wedding Showers Aubrey’s co-workers at her school gave her the most thoughtful wedding shower ever! Aubrey was taken completely by surprise (which is why she was not quite dressed for the occasion) but very touched by such a kind gesture! The girls and I also threw Aubrey a wedding shower at our house. Tell me if you recognize the decorations… I hope using the same decorations that her school used wasn’t too tacky, but it was all too beautiful…
Our second week in Florida, our good friend’s Mark and Bridgette, flew in from Kentucky to spend a couple of day with us. We enjoyed exploring Madeira beach and collecting shells, taking them to our favorite places, and going on a sunset cruise! While in Florida, Mom and I drove down to Venice to see her aunt Marilyn (my grandmother’s twin sister). We had a lovely day visiting with Marilyn and eating at her favorite restaurant, Carrabba’s Italian Grill. It was nice doing lunch with Marilyn and I think she too was happy to get out of her house since she’s been cooped-up since the start of Covid. I look forward to visiting with Marilyn again the next time we’re in Florida!
During the first week of our stay, Mom and Brittney flew from Utah together and we picked them up at the Tampa airport. We then picked up Merinda from the Clearwater airport who flew in from Lexington KY. We had a wonderful time together playing card games, eating amazing food, and hanging out on Madeira, St. Pete, and Indian Rocks beaches!
In mid-February, about the time I was getting really tired of the cold weather, we had a wonderful visit with family and friends, to the beaches of Tampa, Florida. Our Ocean Sands condo, on Madeira Beach, was s corner unit on the 9th floor, recently updated, and beautifully decorated with a classy beach theme. The outdoor amenities were equally functional and pristine! And the views of the city, beach, and sunsets were like none-other!
