The evening before Raul’s family flew back to Chile, we had one last get-together at our favorite place… Hoggy’s Ice Cream! Our friend’s Rex and Veronica were finally back in town so we invited them as well. Rex and Veronica were excited to meet Raul’s family, especially since they have heard so much about them not only from Raul, but from Aubrey and Molly when they served in Chile as missionaries. And the best part, they could all speak Spanish to each other and communicate beautifully! Everyone had a great time visiting, and Rex even made key chains for each member of Raul’s family! The key chains were engraved with their names, and in the shape of Kentucky. The next day Aubrey and Brad drove Raul’s family to the airport, and I was kind of sad to see them go, but Raul’s sister Sara will be staying another few weeks with Aubrey and Raul. Aubrey, Raul, and Claire have also planned to visit Raul’s family in Chile the end of December and all of January, which will be their summer break.
