Idaho/Utah Trip V (Vineyard, Utah)

During our time in Utah County we stayed with Mom in Vineyard. Merinda was finally done at BYU-I for the year so she came down to meet us. It was so nice to catch up and just chill with Mom, Merinda, Brittney, Sean, and the other kids via FaceTime.

Visiting with Breck, Iris, and Aubrey via FaceTime
Aubrey flew to Virginia to stay with Breck and Iris for the holidays.

During our stay Brad spent a work-day with my brother Matt because he was curious what Matt did for his job. While visiting clients, they saw the biggest inflatable Santa Clause in the world…Brad is 6’6″ and only came up to Santa’s shoes!

I spent the day Christmas shopping with Merinda, and stopped by my dad’s gravesite in the Lindon cemetery, to wish him a ‘Happy Birthday’ and ‘Merry Christmas’.
On Christmas Eve day, we watched Breck, Iris, and Aubrey open their gifts from us (the kids would be spending Christmas day with Iris’ family), and Breck just had to show Brad and I what they got us for Christmas, unfortunately, we won’t be able to enjoy it until we pick it up the next time we visit them.
We also visited with Matt & Brei and boys, and with Sarah, Jared’s daughter.

For our traditional candle-light Christmas Eve dinner, we had ham with all the trimmings! Yeah, it was amazing!

And then Merinda and I decorated ginger-bread people (and mermaids)
The rest of the night we watched Hallmark movies in our matching sweatshirts that Mom bought us. It was the perfect ending to the perfect Christmas Eve!
On Christmas morning, after eating our traditional breakfast of omelettes and cinnamon rolls, we opened gifts with Mom (who had just returned home from working the night-shift), and Brittney & Sean. The rest of the day we visited, watched Hallmark movies, and ate holiday goodies, it was another wonderful day!
Sadly, we left early the next morning for the last leg of our trip, which would be in Saint George with Roger & Leanne Pugh. Brittney was nice enough to drop off Brad (in a blizzard) at the Salt Lake airport to pick up a rental car, while Merinda and I finished packing. We took a few selfies before saying goodbye to Mom, but luckily saying goodbye to both Brittney and Mom wasn’t too painful since we’ll be meeting up with them in Florida in February, Yay!
