We had a wonderful 4th of July this year! It was good being with family on the 4th, usually we are in Kentucky this time of year, so this was a nice change!

Our 4th began with swimming in Brittney's community pool. It is a nice big pool and we were the only ones there for a long time. Brad and I even swam, which was really fun, especially with Finley!

When we got back to Brittney's, Sean took the boys on some bike rides.

But I'm not sure how much Gus enjoyed it!

The next thing we did was meet the Heelis clan at Highland Park for a potluck dinner. But before everyone got there, Brad and I each took a spin on Ari's electric scooter (those things go fast!).

Our little set-up was quite nice tucked back in the trees with pop-up shelters just incase it rained.

Sasha and Chris were the ones who spear-headed the picnic by staking out the perfect spot, setting up tables, shelters, blankets and chairs, plus they made hotdogs for everyone, a couple of salads, and provided drinks and paper & plastic wear! Thank You Sasha & Chris!❤️

The food was super yummy, and Aspen's fruit flag was just too cute to eat!! And I've got to mention Mom's cookies which were out of this world!!

Matt's boy's Tyson and Brock, our little hiking buddies!

Sasha and kid's Donte & Ari, who have grown so much I hardly recognized them!

Bode, who was just about starting home MTC.

Tage and girlfriend Celest, visiting with Brittney and Finley.

Sasha and Melanie catching up.

Sasha & Chris, Rachelle, Nick & Gwen, and Sean and Gus having a good time visiting!

Rachelle & cutie Gwen, and Aspen & Ari still best buddies!

Gwen & Gus, just one apart in age! It's crazy to think that almost a year ago they were both born while Sasha and I were in Las Vegas having our Heelis girl's get-together!

Gus still not feeling in the 4th of July spirit! Later that evening different people watched fireworks in various towns while Brad and I decided to be party-poopers and go to bed (our grandkids wore us plum-out!).

I couldn't help but think what we might be doing for the 4th if we were still at home, and then Aubrey sent me some pictures ...

We would have gone with Aubrey and fam to our little Georgetown Parade!

We would have sweated buckets in the fun KY humidity, but still have fun filling our pockets full of candy!

Raul was such a good sport to endure the noise and heat, he definitly earned himself a delicous completos!!

Claire enjoyed waving her flags and reading her amendment booklet long after the parade was over!

And she very much enjoyed cooling down at Aubrey's friend's grandma's pool the evening of the 4th! The 4th of July is all about making memories with friends & family!!
