Hiking Timp was so much fun that Sasha and I went on several other hikes during my visit. I always try to immerse myself in the mountains, as much as possible, during my trips to Utah!Hiking the hills of Saratoga Springs
Little critter we almost stepped on
View of Utah Lake
Saratoga Springs and Wasatch Front
Looking toward the Point of the Mountain
After visiting Sasha's new grandbaby Gwen, we explored the parks and trails around Highland
Beautiful Sasha and beautiful Highland Glen Park
The pond in the park
Beautiful views from the park
We took the park trail to the Murdock Canal trail (where I used to four-wheel and ride my friend's horse bareback, before the canal was buried)
Murdock Canal trail that stretches from Highland along the bench to Orem
From there we took another trail to Art Dye Park in American Fork
On our way back to Highland we got caught in a microburst storm and were plummeted with sideways rain and hail!
Highland mountains and storms behind us
The Highland mountains were so beautiful from afar we decided to hike up into them during another day hike!
We decided to take the Three Falls Trail in Alpine
Views of Alpine
Views of the valley, Wasatch front and Utah Lake
Views of Alpine and the top of Draper
Views of Salt Lake valley
More mountains and trails to climb behind me (that eventually connect to the Timpooneke trail) but we ran out of time since Sasha had to get back to pick up her kids from school. This was a beautiful spot for more picture taking and for us to eat our packed lunches.
Little cacti that hitched a ride on our shoes
On our way back down we got lost because there were so many different trails to take, luckily Sasha got signal long enough for the gps to guide us to our car.
The clearing half way up the mountain is where we stopped to eat lunch and take all the pics.
Views of Alpine mtns and Timp behind
Going back down to the valley. I'm so glad Sasha could be my little hiking buddy and I can't wait to discover more trails and beautiful views with her during my future trips to Utah!
