Showing Sean around our "Old Kentucky Home"
February 13, 2019

This past Christmas break Sean came to Kentucky for a visit.

Even though KY is pretty grey in the winter, it was still fun showing him some of the sites ...

We also pointed out the many distilleries along the way, and visited Woodford Reserve, which is one of my favorites because of where it is located and the history behind it!

The beautiful distillery's grounds.

I've never noticed it before but there is even an old cemetery on the property.

I love all the old brick buildings, and the same way they've been making bourbon for hundreds of years!

I wanted to get a few family Christmas pictures during our little tour of Kentucky, so Sean was nice enough to be our photographer.
(he took a few selfies here and there just so we would remember who was behind the camera)

How difficult is it to get a decent family picture with grown children? I'll let you decide ...

Next stop was the Old Capital in downtown Frankfort. Again, all I wanted was a simple family picture in front of pretty trees on the capital grounds ...

(arghhhhh!)

Brittney & Sean

Next picture attempt...in front of the currant Capital Building!

Merinda again deciding whether or not to be apart of the family...

Back to Woodford County and Midway College,

During Sean's visit, Brittney and Sean also enjoyed visiting the Holts, Allens, and other close friends.

Since Sean left before Christmas he opened his gifts early which included a handmade winter hat from Grandma Virginia,

Sad goodbye (even though they will be reunited in less than a week!)
We are sure glad Sean came to visit, and hope he had as good of time with us as we did with him!
