New Year's Eve

We finally got together one more time with the Holts, on New Year's Eve, before all of our kids left to their various homes across the U.S.
Finley enjoyed playing with the Holt's cats, and Mason's fun toys under the tree!
We loved eating Rex's traditional New Year's Eve queso dip and chips, and my peach cobbler and Blue Bell ice cream. Brittney and Wesley attempted to get Finley and Mason together, but they weren't having any of it! At one point Finley "love pushed" Mason and hurt his feelings. Hopefully the boys will like playing together when they're a little older, and end up being good friends! We then enjoyed playing several rounds of Catch Phrase.
Soon it was time for the New Year Even's countdown! If you're wondering how Mason and Finn were still awake, well, it was only 8:00 pm! Since we were all running on toddler time (if toddler's not happy, no one's happy!) we watched a recording of Sydney, Australia's New Year's Eve countdown, on YouTube. We still got to countdown and yell "Happy New Year", kiss our significant other (Brittney & Sean know how to do it!) and make our New Year's toast (with sparkling non-alcoholic beverages), all while awake and happy! Finley did eventually crash however, the minute his parents strapped him in the car seat. It was a great end to the holidays, and time spent with great friends!
