We recently spent ten days in Chile, flying there for Aubrey and Raul's Temple sealing in the Concepcion Temple. The temple was just being built while Aubrey was on her mission in that area, so it holds a special place in her heart. It's also close to Tome, Raul's hometown, and where we spent most of our time while in Chile.
The Chile Concepcion Temple
Raul's father, mother, younger brother & sister, and paternal & maternal grandmothers
Raul's grandmothers
Raul's family with Jake, the missionary who baptized Raul's parents when Raul was three years old
Aubrey & Raul with Jake, who has kept in close contact with Raul's family over the years due to studying the Mapuche (Chilean native people) and spending a much time doing archeological work in Southern Chile (he lives in Nashville, TN with his wife and daughter and is a professor at Vanderbilt University).
Jake was so kind and was our personal chauffeur during part of our stay in Chile.

The Concepcion Temple was so beautiful both inside and out, and I am glad we were able to snap some quick pictures of Aubrey and Raul on the temple grounds just before dark...
Concepcion Temple Visitor Center
Raul's grandmothers with the help of his sister Sarah, her boyfriend Bastian, and some ward members provided sandwiches and snack foods for everyone who attended the Temple with Aubrey & Raul. The Temple's Visitor Center (almost as beautiful as the Temple) provided rooms on the upper floor for patrons traveling long distances, it also included two kitchens and a large dining area, which was the perfect place for everyone to eat and mingle...
Visiting with Raul's family before the wedding
Sarah, Bastian, and Grandmothers setting up the food
Everyone enjoying the food and visiting
An interesting Chilean snack which tasted like Trix-flavored Cheetos
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Tome, Chile
The wedding reception was held a few days later in Raul's parent's church. Raul's family and members of the ward put on such a wonderful event that everyone stayed well after 2:00 in the morning!
The cultural hall of the church was beautifully decorated...the above sign says To infinity and beyond thanks for coming, Aubrey & Raul
Raul setting up the sound system for karaoke, and the decorated bench where Aubrey & Raul had pictures taken with every family in attendance
Raul consulting with his parents
Just a few of the thoughtful gifts Aubrey & Raul received
Aubrey and Raul requested pizza and boy was there pizza...so much work was put into making the pizzas, cake, all the finger-foods from scratch!
They even made Aubrey her very own Aubrey-friendly-pizza with cheese only!
The food was amazing and tasted as good as it looked!
Everyone had a wonderful night eating and visiting, as well as...
Enjoying great entertainment (Sarah & Bastian playing violin/cello duets and Raul's little sister Laura singing Families Can Be Together Forever),
Playing games of all types...
Including ping pong
Dancing for hours,
(Traditional Chilean dance),
And last, but not least, karaoke! (Raul's mom leading the way!)
Aubrey and I singing Eternal Flame by the Bangles
Raul dedicating a song to Aubrey
Raul and his father singing a duet together
Raul's sister and father singing a couple duets together
Laura sounding so precious
And Bastian just killing it! (He is a musical prodigy!)
