We had a busy Christmas Eve day, mainly because it was Sunday, and our Sundays are always crazy. So our traditional candle-light Christmas Eve dinner was actually lunch instead. Even though we didn't eat our meal under the glow of candle-light, the food was still good, actually, it was better than good...

We decided to changed the menu up a bit this year. Instead of our traditional ham and company potatoes, Brad made mouth-watering brisket he cooked on the Traeger, and amazing Brazilian black beans! We also had mashed potatoes, rolls, and cranberry jello salad. It was truly a feast indeed!

That evening, Holts came caroling (singing four-part harmony...it was truly angelic) bringing with them goodies and gifts. We then watched Finley and Mason (Wesley & Molly's son) open gifts from their grandparents (Rex & Veronica and Brad and I). It didn't take long for them to get in the spirit of things, and tear open their matching pajamas from Buc'ees!

We then ate brownies and ice cream while catching up with one another. It was so fun having the Holt kids, and most of our kids, reunited once again. We visited well into the night, and made plans to all get together while our kids were still in town!
