Utah Trip - Girl's Weekend in Vegas

This past August, I flew home to welcome my fourth grandchild and spend time with family. I’d always wanted to visit Las Vegas, so my sister Sasha went above and beyond to plan a special weekend getaway for us girls and mom. We carefully selected dates that wouldn’t overlap with the birth of my grandson or the birth of her first grandbaby. We had an amazing time in Vegas, but as fate would have it, Brittney delivered Gus, on our first full day there, and Rachelle had Gwen on our second day. As much as Sasha wanted to be at her first grandchild's delivery, she stayed in Vegas with us, and together we relived our own labor stories while supporting our kids from afar via phone and FaceTime. Each update brought a mix of joy, excitement, and a little stress, but we made the most of it—even praying together in the middle of the casino after one of the updates! I’m so thankful everything turned out beautifully for both babies and moms, and I’m grateful for the special time I had in Vegas with my mom and sisters.

In addition to Vegas and celebrating Gus’ arrival with Brittney and family, my five-week stay in Utah was filled with more memorable moments. I hiked to the top of Mount Timpanogos with family, caught up with my mom, enjoyed several day hikes with Sasha (soaking in the mountain air while I could), celebrated Memorial Day with loved ones, and spent quality time with Merinda, which included being there for her birthday. Anyway...don't miss more posts to come on these wonderful adventures!
